Leigh and Andy's Engagement Photos

It's hard to believe that only a couple years ago, my good friend Leigh was waiting for her true love.  She found it in Andy, a charismatic, handsome, and driven gentleman.  What a great match!  I actually took their engagement photos last month, in February, on a very cold weekend.

We started taking photos in Boston Common, and I insisted we take bench pictures.

We walked all through the common.  This next picture is my favorite - we found a vent that was blowing out steam near the ice skating rink, and I immediately knew it would be a great effect for more photos!  How classic.

We traveled through the common and traveled by T to Copley Square and found some nice shots by the church and hotel.

Just a normal day in the neighborhood for a young couple in love!

I can't wait until your wedding!  I'll be attending as a guest instead of photographing, but you can be sure that I'll still bring a camera!

Keeping Things Civil

A couple of weekends ago, I had the privilege of photographing Jennifer and Jason's wedding - a civil ceremony, which took place at the Braintree, MA Town Hall. Having recently located from the southeast US region to Boston, they decided on a romantic whim to get married on their anniversary.

The officiant was a very nice man, and I also ended up getting to be an official witness to their marriage. The auditorium that Jennifer and Jason were married in was a very bright, wide open, and elegantly decorated room.

The formal ceremony only took a few minutes, and before I knew it, Jennifer and Jason were exchanging the rings!

It was freezing outside that day, but we were able to get some gorgeous images of the newly weds!

Showing off their playfulness and spontaneity, they brought balloons and their old work vests from a job they both had together.

Congratulations, Jennifer and Jason!

Business Meets Fun!

One cold day in mid-January, I met up with my good friends Patrick and Wes. Pat is a seasoned financial advisor who has helped me a great deal on my investments and savings, and will soon be starting his own practice under a very successful company, Waddell & Reed. I was given the opportunity to take his business portraits for his upcoming professional website.

We took some excellent action shots as he counseled his roommate Wes on financial situations.

But we did take some time to have some fun portraits as well even if it was cold outside. Luckily for us, the sun was shining, and it looked like a beautiful day.

Flying puppies!

Everybody loves puppies!

Please feel free to email Pat for all of your financial needs! He is a brilliant supervisor.

Cara and Joe's Engagement Photos

It's only early January, and it's been brutally cold in Boston. However, on January 10 of this new year, Cara and Joe had fabulous, sunny weather - perfect for taking pictures! The three of us met in Salem, their home town, and explored the outer parts of the city. How "New England"!

You can tell they are so in love! Cara and Joe have been sweethearts for a long time! Look at those perfect smiles!

The red barn door is my favorite - a little over exposed in production to show the vivaciousness of the color! What great sweater coordination, Joe!

We took pictures under a stone gazebo in a park next to a cute, vintage hotel in Salem. The snow was much higher than ankle deep out here still!

One more kiss for the road before back out in the cold! The day couldn't have been better - and we were done by the Patriots' beatdown game! Looking forward to the upcoming wedding, Cara and Joe! Congratulations - you make a beautiful couple!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

On December 12, 2009, my mom celebrated her 65th birthday with her closest friends and family. It was normal chaos for the Malito household - I was assigned the duties of a helpful host, coat girl, bartender, and photographer. I managed to sneak in some photos when I could!

This is a photo of the lovely women from the party - a couple unfortunately are missing since they had to leave early, but we were still able to squeeze in a big group photo! Aren't they beautiful!

The table was adorned with delicious appetizers and entrees, along with festive holiday decorations...

Mom loves to fluff her hair even when putting out the cheese!

And here's my dad talking to Marist friends...

My parents just had their kitchen remodeled. My mom showed off her new, modern cabinets and granite countertops!

A happy moment seeing lifelong friends!

It was a long, exciting, and boisterous night! And the cake was delicious. Happy 65th Sharon! Time to cut the cake!

Friends stayed into the wee hours until the candles burnt low. Happy birthday, Mom! I love you!
